Doing up your children's room takes a lot of imagination
and research to make the room look different and inspire your child to think out-of-the-box. There is a whole range of accessories and designs available in furniture and lifestyle showrooms. Everything from fancy cribs to designer bunk beds is available in the market. And, if that's not enough you can have chairs, tables and cabinets in different colours and themes.
Nowadays, kids know their mind and parents are spending more on doing up the kids' room than on their own room. Sample this. Popcorn furniture comes in knock-down form. A little chair is packed in a small box no larger than one foot by one foot. The legs and the back have to be screwed to the chair base. If your little girl wants something slightly different, you can buy a ladybird stool in bright red with black spots and a matching table too.
Start with a theme and think outside the box. Avoid room themes that are based on your child's favourite character or television show. Instead, select a theme that is more general based on a broader interest of your child. Allow your child to become a part of the process. Talk to your children about their specific tastes in colours and other room details. Ask them about what they would like the room to look like; perhaps they will have an idea that is lots more creative than anything you might see in a magazine or catalogue.
